Wormhill Abseil Event
Come along and help fund-raise for the Wormhill Well Dressing Fund by taking part in their daring Abseil Event at Millers Dale Viaduct on in September 2010 from 10am onwards. The exact date will be anounced shortly.
Challenge yourself to abseil from this spectacular 65ft (20m) high disused railway viaduct in Millers Dale. The event is being voluntarily staffed by local professional outdoor activity leaders and members of the Derbyshire Cave Rescue Organisation.
Pre-book your places for the abseil for a minimum donation of £10 by calling Anthony or Julie Knox from Hargate Hall in Wormhill by emailing on abseil@hargate-hall.co.uk or calling on 01298 872591.
Donations in excess of £10 will of course be gratefully received! Every penny raised will go to the Wormhill Well Dressing Fund which in turn donates to local charities and voluntary organisations.
Some places may also be available on the day but you are advised to pre-book to avoid disappointment. We’re very much looking forward to dangling you off a high place on 5th Sept!
See you there... if you dare!
This event could not take place without the kind volunteer support of the local outdoor activity providers and other organisations particularly, Derbyshire Cave Rescue Organisation, Peak District National Park Authority, Wild Track, Derwent Pursuits, Beyond the Edge, and Up and Down Adventures
