Liverpool Batala Community Samba Band

Fundraiser for Wormhill Village

wedding marquee

Outdoor concert at Hargate Hall - Sunday 7th June 2009 2pm till 4pm

Two members of the Liverpool Batala Community Samba Band are getting married at Hargate Hall on the weekend of 7th June.

As part of their wedding weekend they have kindly agreed to put on an outdoor performance of their music. Batala Liverpool is a Brazilian-style percussion band which has its musical and historical roots in Brazil. They are involved in projects teaching Brazilian drumming and dance workshops, and they play in parades, major carnivals, private celebrations, opening ceremonies, Brazilian nights and festivals and perform at major sporting and music events.

The auditorium is a grass bank, so feel free to bring chairs and picknic rugs as needed. A bar will be laid on. In the (unlikely!!??) event of rain we will shelter in the marquee.

Entry to this is by ticket only and limited to 200 people. Tickets purchased in advancecan be paid for by debit/credit card. Tickets puchased on the day must be paid for by cash.

Ticket price £5.50 (add 50p if paying by credit card) if bought in advance or £6 on the day. (Under 12s are free)

Admission from 1:30pm and please clear the grounds by 5pm.

Please email us on info@hargate-hall.co.uk stating your name, number of tickets required and a contact phone number. We can then ring you back to take payment.

All profits from Ticket sales will be added to the Wormhill Well Dressing fund, which supports the village church and village hall and also some local organisations.

Parking has been organised in a field at the bottom of the grounds. Please use this rather than parking on the road side.

Please take your rubbish away with you.

The Batala band have booked the grounds and hall for their weekend, so please keep to the area marked out for the performance.
