Charges and Terms.
Your holiday may be reserved by telephone, fax, letter
or email. Your chosen date will then be held for 7 days from the date of your
reservation pending receipt of your deposit, which will be 25% of your total reservation
cost. After that time we reserve the right to release the dates. The balance should be paid at least 28 days before the start of the holiday (we reserve the right to cancel the booking if full payment has not been received by this date).
Payment.
Please make sterling cheques payable to Hargate Hall Ltd and send them to Hargate Hall, Wormhill, Buxton, Derbyshire, SK17 8TA. All payments will be acknowledged by letter, directions
and instructions will be sent at this point
Cancellations.
If a booking is cancelled up to 28 days before the start of the holiday 50% of the full hire charge will be payable. Cancellation within 28 days will result in the full charge being payable. We will use our best endeavours to re-let a cottage following a cancellation and you will be credited with the net value of the re-letting. We strongly recommend you take out cancellation insurance. We can supply an application form from a company offering cancellation insurance upon request.
We reserve the right to cancel any booking for reasons beyond our reasonable control and will give you as much notice as possible. In these circumstances we will make every effort to offer alternative accommodation at Hargate Hall, subject to availability.
Arrival time/key collection.
Visitors are asked to arrive after 4pm. Please contact us a few days before your holiday to confirm arrival time and key collection details. We try to welcome visitors personally, show them how equipment in the cottage works and give information that may be needed regarding shopping, pubs, eating , walking, cycling etc.
Departure.
Check-out time is 10am on the day of departure. You are requested to leave the cottage, as far as possible, in the condition that you would like to find it. We reserve the right to make a charge if the cottage is left in an excessively dirty condition.
Bed linen and towels.
Bed linen and kitchen towels and a hand towel are provided and included in the price of the holiday. Please note that we can supply cots and highchairs but we do not supply cot bed linen. Towels
are available on request for which a £5 fee per person will be charged. .
Electricity.
Electricity is charged at cost by pre-paid meters which take £1 coins
Party size.
Visitors are requested not to exceed the maximum number of people for which we supply beds/bed linen. The sleeping capacity of each apartment is detailed on the Apartments pages of our website. The sleeping capacity of Hargate Hall as a whole is 79 people. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any booking which in our opinion may be unsuitable for the cottage concerned. Please make sure that the accommodation you book meets your requirements.
Pets.
Well behaved pets are welcome. Please see the page on pets for details of charges and restrictions. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times in the communal areas of Hargate Hall including grounds. Please clear up after your pets.
Smoking.
All parts of he Hargate Hall building are non-smoking.
Damage and breakages.
Please take care of our property while it is in your care - you are responsible for damage and breakages. We reserve the right to charge for breakages and damage caused during your occupancy.
Liability.
Visitors are asked to take care at all times while on our property. Parents in particular are asked to ensure that children are safe, accompanied by a responsible adult and not left unattended. We do not accept responsibility for injury or damage to and loss of guests property, cars and contents and you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from and against all actions, claims, costs and proceedings (including reasonable legal fees incurred in defending the same) arising from your acts or omissions (and those in your party) while on our property. Safety
instructions and advice held at the properties must be read and adhered to.
