Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions apply to individual apartments booked on a holiday basis. If booking the whole place for a wedding or a party, then please refer to wedding and party T&Cs
Charges and Terms.
Your holiday may be reserved by telephone, fax, letter or email. Your chosen date will then be held for 7 days from the date of your reservation pending receipt of your non-refundable booking fee, which will be 25% of your total reservation cost. After that time we reserve the right to release the dates. The balance should be paid 2 months before the start of the holiday (we reserve the right to cancel the booking if full payment has not been received by this date).
Please make sterling cheques payable to Hargate Hall Ltd and send them to Hargate Hall, Wormhill, Buxton, Derbyshire, SK17 8TA. All payments will be acknowledged by letter, directions and instructions will be sent at this point.
Earlier than 12 months before the start of your booking your liability will be limited to loss of the booking fee paid.
12 months before the start of the booking 25% of the full hire charge will be payable.
6 months before the start of the booking 50% of the full hire charge will be payable.
2 months before the start of the booking 100% of the full hire charge will be payable.
We strongly recommend you take out cancellation insurance.
We reserve the right to cancel any booking for reasons beyond our reasonable control and will give you as much notice as possible. In these circumstances we will make every effort to offer alternative accommodation at Hargate Hall, subject to availability.
Arrival time and departure times.
Visitors are asked to arrive after 4pm. Please contact us a few days before your holiday to confirm arrival time and key collection details. We try to welcome visitors personally, show them how equipment in the apartment works and give information that may be needed regarding shopping, pubs, eating , walking, cycling etc.Departure.
Check-out time is 10am on the day of departure. You are requested to leave the appartment, as far as possible, in the condition that you would like to find it. We reserve the right to make a charge if the appartment is left in an excessively dirty condition.
Bed linen and towels.
Bed linen and kitchen towels and a hand towel are provided and included in the price of the holiday. Please note that we can supply cots and highchairs but we do not supply cot bed linen. Towels are available on request for which a £5 fee per person will be charged. .
Electricity is charged at cost by pre-paid meters which take £1 coins
Day guests are allowed, but visitors are requested not to exceed the maximum sleeping capacity for which we supply beds/bed linen. The sleeping capacity of each apartment is detailed on the Apartments pages of our website. The sleeping capacity of Hargate Hall as a whole is 77 people. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any booking which in our opinion may be unsuitable for the cottage concerned. Please make sure that the accommodation you book meets your requirements.
Well behaved pets are welcome. Please see the page on pets for details of charges and restrictions. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times in the communal areas of Hargate Hall including grounds. Please clear up after your pets. Pets must be kept off all soft furnishings and beds.
All parts of he Hargate Hall building are non-smoking.
Overdue accounts .
We reserve the right to charge interest at 5% above the Bank of England Base rate on any overdue accounts - interest will accrue on a daily basis.
Facilities and Activities .
All facilities and activities (including those contained within the price of your break) are subject to availability. For safety or other reasons we may have to close off certain facilities.
As we are constantly improving the facilities at Hargate Hall you may find that certain areas are closed of or that work is going on while you are here. We will always endeavour to keep such disruption to a minimum .
Damage, breakages and cleaning.
Please take care of our property while it is in your care - you are responsible for damage and breakages. We ask that when you leave the Hall is returned to us in the same condition that you found it. We reserve the right to charge for breakages and damage caused during your occupancy, or for any excessive cleaning required.
Visitors are asked to take care at all times while on our property. Parents in particular are asked to ensure that children are safe, accompanied by a responsible adult and not left unattended. We do not accept responsibility for injury or damage to and loss of guests property, cars and contents and you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from and against all actions, claims, costs and proceedings (including reasonable legal fees incurred in defending the same) arising from your acts or omissions (and those in your party) while on our property. Safety instructions and advice held at the properties must be read and adhered to. Any damage, injury or loss sustained on site must be notified to us as soon as possible or in any case before leaving site, so that remedial action can be taken if necessary.
