Christmas is just around the corner so by now you have probably made the decision to get away over the festive season, and what better way to do it than with a self catering apartment. The area you’re traveling to is probably going to be unfamiliar so the last thing you want to be doing is wasting time looking for shops. If it’s possible, pre order your delivery to the apartment especially to avoid disappointment. What could be worse than no Christmas dinner or Boxing Day buffet.

PRE BOOK EVENTS

If you’re planning to eat out or have some days out then it’s important to book in advance to avoid disappointment we all know how hectic Christmas gets.

GIVE PRACTICAL GIFTS

So if you’re away this Christmas you might want to consider the space you have when traveling, think about giving practical gifts and account for the space you’re going to need transporting them.

CHECK THE APARTMENT HAS ADEQUATE COOKING FACILITIES

Plan ahead and check your apartment has adequate cooking facilities, check the size of the oven so your turkey isn’t left outside in the cold this Christmas.

DECORATION

Your going to want the place to look festive it may be worth asking the apartment owner to decorate for you and if that’s not possible just ask if you can do it yourself relay to them that nothing will be damaged (avoid sticking things to walls & furniture).

WRAP PRESENTS IN ADVANCE

Wrapping presents in advance not only stops little eyes from prying, it also allows you to dispose of any rubbish at home, if you’re worried about wrapping becoming damaged on the trip just take along some spare paper and sellotape.

COMMUNICATION

Christmas time is a time for keeping in touch with friends and family, so check out the apartments WiFi and phone facilities. Mobile phone signals aren’t always the best in certain areas.
