Hargate Hall in the Peak District
Hargate Hall is a fine and very substantial house located in the village of Wormhill in the Heart of the Peak District National Park, between Buxton, Bakewell and Castleton. Hargate Hall has been divided up to provide 12 self catering apartments providing holiday accommodation for families, friends, large groups or small groups, holidays or short breaks, walking and activity holidays, or just taking it easy.
The self catering apartments are all equipped to a high standard and are really comfortable. Individually they sleep from 2 to 10 people. You can book the apartments in any number, and for large groups booking the whole hall you can sleep up to 77 people. All apartments have a fully fitted kitchen area with everything you would expect to find. We have many facilities; a games room, barbeques and a newly built adventure playground. We are set in 7.5 acres of parkland with fantastic views over the surrounding Derbyshire Peak District.

Large Groups If you are bringing a large group, you may wish to hire the whole hall. It makes a perfect location to hold parties, family get-togethers or even Civil Weddings and receptions. These can either be done on a self catering basis or we can help organise catering from local caterers. For bookings for groups of over 30, or over 8 apartments, or those wishing to come here to party please see our on large groups. |
Games Room The games room is being refurbished. It is located on the top floor of a seperate buiding a few yards from the main hall. In addition, outside there is a flat lawn area for croquet, football, cricket, boules, badminton and a terrific adventure playground. The ground floor of the building is being turned into a communal dining / party room for use by groups too big to be able to eat together in any one apartment, but not big enough to have exclusive use of the whole place.

Public Transport Bus and train services can get you very close to Hargate Hall. A 5 mile taxi or cycle ride will then get you to our door. Have a look at the transport direct website which will give you full details of the services to Buxton (or tideswell for buses), our postcode is SK17 8TA. We can supply you information on Taxis if required.
Hulleys number 68 bus runs through the village of Wormhill. (Hulleys - 01246582246). The bus passes Hargate Hall on its way to Buxton at 9.36 am and the return bus leaves Buxton at 14.50 arriving at Hargate Hall at 15.06. Monday to Friday only. |
