Each Monday we are going to a blog giving an overview of the events of the previous weekend. This should help give people who have not stayed at Hargate Hall before an idea of the range of opportunity that are available to you.

So what happen this weekend?  The whole hall was booked for a big family get together for a birthday celebration. On Saturday morning they went on local walks, visited Buxton and generally explored the area. The main party was on the Saturday evening and they all ate in the main Hall. The sofas were moved out and tables and chairs for 40 people.  They provided all the food themselves splitting the different courses between different family groups and this worked very well.

The weather wasn’t brilliant but did not spoil their fun over the weekend. One family decided to stay on with us for the rest of the week, so that they could spend more time exploring the area.

On a separate note a couple who had their wedding here a few weeks ago have just re-booked the whole place for New Year next year. I think they are hoping for the same level of snow as we had this year!
