Deciding to have children at your wedding is practically guaranteed to bring cuteness. After all, it’s a family celebration. However, there also comes the slight chance of some chaos alongside this. Keeping them busy with activities is the perfect way to occupy them, and as an additional bonus, it’s likely to tire them out by the end of the day.
Wedding Activity Pack
Help them get creative by offering some wedding activity packs. Something containing different bits and pieces is sure to keep the kids busy throughout the day. We’re thinking colouring, crayons, maybe some bubbles. This one from Amazon includes a find the pair style game. Websites such as Etsy and Favour Fairy have loads of cute ideas for you to browse.
If none of those take your fancy, however, you could always get creative and have a go at designing your own. Maybe there’s a budding artist amongst your family or friends who could design an activity booklet, or maybe you fancy releasing your inner artist yourself. You could even add a special touch and design a wedding logo to stick on them. It’s a chance to get really creative.
Arts And Crafts Table
Perhaps you could designate a section of your venue to some arts and crafts tables. Even better, you could make the children feel like little VIPs by naming them Kids Only Tables. Supply them with things like crayons, and we’re sure they’ll be kept entertained for a while.
You could even give them a specific task, such as creating a poster of your wedding, to make them feel extra special. These might turn out to be precious keepsakes of the day. Imagine a hand drawn photo of the bride and groom?
Photo booth
Keep the kids entertained with a fun photo booth and hilarious props and accessories. While you might need an adult for supervision, playing dress up is sure to keep little ones laughing. Perhaps you could have a designated booth just for the children. This could also be a great way for them to interact with one another and make new friends. It’s a double win!
Face painting
It’s a classic kids’ activity for a reason. Not only does face painting add a splash of colour to proceedings, but it’s a fun, light-hearted touch to the day. Add a dash of sparkle with glitter too. Plus, there’s always one or two adults who just can’t help themselves.
