Weddings are back! You can get married at Hargate Hall in 2021 and we’ve got a feeling it’s going to be an incredible year for weddings.
After 2020 we could all do with lots of wonderful events to look forward to and what better occasion to celebrate than a wedding? Bringing a family together after a year apart to witness a wedding would be a wonderful way to spend summer 2021, and at Hargate Hall we’ve still got availability for DIY weddings in 2021!
Weddings aren’t cancelled!
From the 12th of April, the government has confirmed, as part of the roadmap for lifting COVID restrictions in England, weddings attended by up to fifteen people can go ahead! It’s important to note, these weddings must be in places of worship, or public buildings that are allowed to open, and the reception must be outdoors. But, after the long haul of restrictions, we are just so glad to see the wedding industry opening up, and the wedding news gets even better.
Weddings at Hargate Hall in 2021
The current plan for licenced venues, like Hargate Hall, is to open for wedding ceremonies and receptions from 17 May. This is dependent on the roadmap panning out as the government hope. From this date we will be welcoming weddings with up to thirty attendees, and the celebrations can take place indoors or outdoors. You could choose to get married outside on our stunning lawns, or you could tie the knot in our grand hall.
What’s more, from the 21st of June, the government aims to have removed all wedding restrictions! This would include any limits on the number of guests that can attend and all social contact restrictions. This means you could make full use of our fantastic facilities and you could host a wedding with up to 150 guests, with room for 77 guests to stay overnight.
What does this mean for your summer wedding?
Providing the government roadmap goes to plan and there are no changes in the dates that have been set out, we will be open for DIY weddings from the 17th of May, and we’ll be ready for full capacity weddings from 21 June.
All weddings here at Hargate Hall are special, but the first wedding of the year here is bound to bring many happy tears! Who will be the first to say, ‘I do’, here at Hargate Hall after the quietest wedding year in Hargate history?
