Hargate Hall June Update

May half-term was like a whirlwind here at Hargate Hall. We loved seeing the Hall full of guests, but we think we might still be recovering! We hope you’ve had a chance to enjoy the beautiful weather and make the most of summer 2021.

The June Update

This past month we’ve been busy with the day-to-day running of the Hall. It’s often the ‘unglamourous’ tasks that keep us the busiest. Clearing rooms, changing sheets, tidying communal areas, and keeping on top of the garden. But it’s these tasks that keep Hargate Hall in pristine condition, ready for our guests.

What’s happening this month?

–       We are still working on our own house (which is next to the Hall). We are hoping to be back in our home soon and we can’t wait to show you the changes.

–       We have had lots of new guests visit Hargate this month, but we’ve also had returning guests. We had a lovely couple return for a second stay since the April lockdown lifting.

–       Our guests have been filling the Hall with laughter and conversation. This month especially, we have both loved talking to guests as they picnic in the garden or enjoy a cup of tea in the sunshine. It’s made the Hall feel very sociable. There has been lots of interaction between guests and it’s created a family-friendly atmosphere, which we’re grateful for.

–       Finally, our guests have been telling us about all the wonderful day trips and walks they’ve been enjoying. Including ‘village hopping’, trips to Miller’s Dale, drinks at The Arches (one of our favourites), and visits to Buxton. Hearing what our guests have been up to is wonderful. We love to share these tips with future guests too.

It brings us so much joy to see Hargate Hall full of people enjoying themselves, exploring the stunning surrounding areas and relaxing after the roller-coaster year of 2020. Thank you for supporting us, we hope you’ll return soon, and if you’ve not visited yet – we can’t wait to see you!

All our love,

The Knox Family
